• Wash your hands and take clean utensils to prepare food.
• In a large saucepan, combine the broken pearl millet powder and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
• Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the millet is cooked and soft. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
• Add salt to taste and mix well.
• Once the porridge reaches your desired consistency, remove it from the heat.
• Optional : If desired, you can add buttermilk to the porridge for a tangy flavour and extra creaminess
• Optional : You can also garnished with chopped coriander leaves and chopped onions in it.
• Ready to serve.
